Driving Licence Category Codes

See below a list of the latest driving licence category codes and descriptions issued by the DVLA. These codes are provided from information only. For further details visit GOV.UK

As an Employer, Fleet Manager, HR Manager, Transport Manager or Business Owner you should now be looking to update your driving licence checking process to a full e-service method. Secure online driving licence checking is now one of the fastest growing methods of validating driving licence information available.

This online method is the most professional and efficient way to check the driving licence records of your employees. Using LICENCECHECK e-services, no further manual inspections are required which are at best only visual inspections of an historical record.

LICENCECHECK electronically search the driver record held by the DVLA via our dedicated Government Gateway secure line. The search will retrieve the records held by the DVLA and confirm any entitlements to drive and much more...
