At Licence Check, we’re proud to support a local Derbyshire-based charity that makes a truly lasting difference. Our team were given the opportunity to nominate a local charity, and following a vote, me&dee were selected as the charity we will support for the next three years.
About me&dee
The mission of me&dee is simple, powerful, and deeply moving: to create special moments and lasting memories for families facing life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. Whether it’s a seriously ill child or a parent with a terminal diagnosis, me&dee steps in to give families time and space to be together – often through a much-needed break or special experience.
They work with compassion, urgency, and care to provide memory-making holidays, tailored support, and thoughtful gifts that offer a moment of respite from the chaos of illness. Because in the toughest of times, those moments matter most.

What It Means To Us As A Business
We firmly believe that to make an impact, our entire team needs to be fully engaged. We hosted me&dee at our Derby office where Mark Harrison and Charlotte Harrison-Wear spoke passionately about the families they help, the ways we can get involved and introduced us to Hope the elephant.
Hope is not only very cuddly, she also has a zip in her ear which contains a mini voice recorder, a way for the family member to leave a special message to their loved ones.Along with the voice recorder there are, memory notes or slips of special paper that they can write their thoughts and wishes on, a lasting memory.
How Licence Check Is Supporting me&dee:
We have committed to funding monthly exclusive me&dee sessions in a local swimming pool to enable families to enjoy the simple pleasure of splashing around in water with the privacy of an exclusive session.
Members of our team are also taking part in:
A charity football tournament,
Attending a pub quiz,
Attending Pure Ibiza Classical,
Sponsoring a hole and attending an annual golf day.
